Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 14, 2026

Pompilio Productions LLC, a Kentucky business, operates janepompilio.com. This policy explains how we collect, use, and share personal information when you visit our website, contact us, or purchase a book. Books are fulfilled and shipped from Kentucky.

Information we collect

When you place an order or contact us, we collect information such as your name, email address, telephone number, billing and shipping addresses, order details, and information you include in your message. If you create a customer account, Squarespace also maintains information associated with that account and your orders.

Our website and its service providers collect technical information, including IP addresses, browser and device information, pages visited, referring websites, and interactions with the site.

Payment information submitted at checkout is processed through Stripe and the payment method you choose. We receive transaction information needed to manage your order, payment, and any refund.

How we use information

We use information to process payments, fulfill and track orders, communicate with customers, handle returns and refunds, calculate applicable taxes, maintain business records, prevent fraud, protect the website, and understand website use.

Who receives information

We share information as needed with:

• Squarespace, which hosts our website and provides our online store, customer-account features, website analytics, and automated customer emails.

• Stripe and payment providers, which process payments and refunds, help prevent fraud, and support tax calculations where enabled.

• Safe Ship, our Kentucky fulfillment provider, which receives customer and recipient names, delivery addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, order numbers, and book quantities needed to prepare and manage shipments. Safe Ship uses PostalMate shipping software and delivery carriers to process shipments and tracking.

• Professional advisers and authorities, when reasonably necessary for accounting, legal obligations, resolving disputes, or protecting our business and customers.

We do not sell customer contact lists.

These providers also process information under their own privacy policies:

Squarespace Privacy Policy

Stripe Privacy Policy

PostalMate / PC Synergy Privacy Policy

Our providers may process information outside Kentucky, including in other states or countries.

Cookies and website analytics

Essential cookies support features such as the shopping cart, checkout, security, and saved privacy preferences. Optional analytics cookies help us understand website use.

You can accept, decline, or manage optional cookies through our cookie banner and change your choices using the website’s cookie-preferences control. Optional analytics cookies are restricted until you accept them. Browser settings can also restrict cookies, although doing so may affect website features.

Squarespace adjusts visitor counting when a browser sends a “Do Not Track” signal; that setting does not disable all website data collection. Use our cookie controls to manage optional cookies.

We do not use advertising pixels to target advertisements based on your activity across websites.

If checkout offers address suggestions, information you type may be sent to Google to provide those suggestions. See Google’s Privacy Policy.

Customer communications

We send emails necessary to manage purchases, shipping, returns, refunds, and customer inquiries. Making a purchase does not automatically subscribe you to marketing emails. If you separately subscribe to promotional emails, you can unsubscribe using the instructions in those messages.

Retention and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to fulfill orders, provide customer service, maintain required tax and accounting records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.

We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information, but no website, transmission method, or storage system can guarantee complete security.

Your requests and choices

You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we maintain about you. We may need to verify your identity. Some information must be retained for legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, or dispute-related reasons. We will handle requests in accordance with applicable law.

Please have an adult place orders and submit inquiries. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through our website, contact us so we can review the information and arrange appropriate deletion.

Changes and contact information

We may update this policy as our practices change. Updates will appear on this page with a revised date, and we will provide additional notice when required by applicable law.
