Who you are purchasing from
Books purchased through janepompilio.com are sold by Pompilio Productions LLC, a Kentucky business. These Terms of Sale and our Shipping & Returns policy together describe the terms of your purchase. Please review them before placing an order.
Books and order quantities
Online copies of Where Do Birds Go At Night? are softcover and unsigned. We do not offer a signed-copy option online. Orders are limited to three books and are subject to available inventory.
Prices and payment
Prices are shown in U.S. dollars. Applicable sales tax and shipping charges are displayed at checkout before you submit payment.
Payment is collected at checkout through Stripe using the card or Apple Pay options available to you. The price and terms displayed when you place your order apply to that purchase. Later price changes apply to future orders.
Order information and availability
Please provide an accurate customer name, email address, shipping address, and shipping telephone number. Contact us promptly if an order detail needs correction.
If we cannot fulfill your order, we will notify you and offer an agreed alternative or cancel the order and provide a full refund. We will not require you to accept a substitute product or an additional charge.
Shipping, cancellations, returns, and refunds
Orders are fulfilled and shipped from Kentucky.
Our Shipping & Returns policy forms part of these Terms of Sale. It explains shipping destinations and charges, processing times, shipment delays, cancellation requests, return eligibility, return postage, refunds, and assistance with damaged, defective, incorrect, or missing books.
Please contact us before mailing a return so we can provide approval and instructions.
Copyright
Buying a printed book transfers ownership of that physical copy, not copyright in the writing or illustrations. Reproduction and other uses remain subject to applicable copyright law, including fair use and other lawful exceptions.
Applicable law and your rights
These terms are governed by Kentucky law and applicable federal law, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply to your purchase. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be limited.
The version of these terms and the Shipping & Returns policy presented when you place your order applies to that purchase. Later updates apply to future purchases.

SHIPPING, RETURNS & DAMAGED ORDERS
A note from our small team
Thank you for supporting Jane’s work. We want your book to arrive safely and your experience to be a happy one. For order help, email info@janepompilio.com with your order number and a brief description of what you need.
Shipping and processing
Online copies of Where Do Birds Go At Night? are softcovers, priced at $24.99 each, plus applicable tax and shipping. We ship to the 48 contiguous US states plus Washington, DC, with a maximum of three books per order. Shipping is $10 for one book, $15 for two, or $20 for three. Books are stored, prepared, and shipped by our fulfillment partner in Kentucky.
Each order is prepared with care. Please allow 2–5 business days for us to prepare your books and bring your order to our shipping partner. Shipping time is additional. Thank you for your patience and support. Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding US federal holidays.
If we learn that we cannot ship within that processing period, we will contact you by the original deadline with an updated shipment date, or explain if one is not yet known. You may agree to wait or cancel for a full refund. If we do not receive your agreement by the response deadline in our notice, we will cancel and refund the unshipped order.
Returning an unused book
Email us within 30 calendar days after delivery to request a return. Books must be unused, unmarked and undamaged. We will provide return instructions and the correct mailing address; please do not mail a return before hearing from us. Send the book within 14 calendar days after receiving those instructions, using protective packaging and a service with tracking.
For a change-of-mind return, you pay the return postage. We refund the price paid for the returned book and its applicable tax. Original shipping charges are not refunded, and we do not charge a restocking fee.
Damaged, defective or incorrect books
Please email us as soon as possible, ideally within seven days after delivery, so we can help promptly. Include photos of the book and packaging if you can, and keep the packaging while we resolve the issue. Please contact us even if you cannot provide photos or packaging; seven days is a request, not a cutoff for these claims.
We will arrange a replacement at no extra cost or a refund for the affected book, including its applicable tax and related original shipping charges. If the entire order is refunded, we refund all original shipping charges. If we need the book returned, we will provide prepaid return instructions. The unused-condition requirement and customer-paid shipping rules for ordinary returns do not apply to these problems.
Refund timing
For an approved ordinary return, we issue the refund to the original payment method within five business days after receiving and inspecting the book. For a cancellation or an agreed refund that does not require a return, we issue it within five business days after cancellation or agreement. Your bank or payment provider may need additional time to display the credit.
Cancellations and missing deliveries
If you need to cancel, email us as soon as possible. We will do our best to cancel before the order is handed to the shipping partner. After shipment, the return policy applies.
If your package has not arrived or tracking appears stalled, contact us. We will investigate promptly with the shipping partner and arrange a replacement or refund when we determine that the shipment is lost. You do not need to resolve the claim with the carrier on your own.
